It was with great sadness that when Windsor played Marlborough at the end of February Head Coach Jack Pattinson announced that former player Bruce Walker had died in South Africa. This news has shocked many former players who played with Bruce in the 1st and 2nd XVs. Bruce was not only a great centre during his playing days at Windsor but also great fun.

Once Bruce retired, he became an active parent in the Minis and Youth Sections when Rauri and Angus started playing rugby at Windsor RFC. Parents who knew Bruce have fond memories of Bruce on the touchline, social events and on tour.

Windsor RFC would like to pass on their condolences to Amanda, Rauri and Angus.
We know a few players are planning to get together in the near future to toast Bruce – a lovely guy who will be sadly missed.
