I hope you and your family have had a wonderful Christmas and seen in the New Year with some inventive celebrations... we got chickens! So its arrived, 2021, filled with hope of a move back to some sort of normal, however that is realistically some way off.

As we remain in Tier 4 there are restrictions in place that limits many aspects of Rugby; there is no Rugby allowed for Adults, however U18s can return. All training courses are postponed, online ones still available.
As a Club with the support of Berkshire RFU and other clubs in the County, we have taken the decision to delay U18s return at this time, and to align with the return of schools. The principle being to support the mass testing that is being deployed, which will aid the prevention of spread through asymptomatic cases, and assist the overall aim to reduce cases in the Borough.
We are aware that not all outdoor sports are taking this approach. As ever, our invaluable Covid committee will be reviewing weekly our options and we appreciate your patience and understanding at this time.

One of our rugby family stalwarts of the club, The Coxs' have been volunteering at our local vaccination centre,  we have been approached to ask our membership if we can make a difference, and lend our support to such an important event of this year.

There are further vaccination dates that need marshals for and any support would be gratefully received. The dates are as follows and they will require eight marshals for each time slot-

Thursday 7th January- 8-12, 12-4, 4-8
Friday 8th January- 8-12, 12-4, 4-8

Monday 11th January- 4-8
Tuesday 12th January- 8-12, 12-4, 4-8
Wednesday 13th January- 8-12, 12-4, 4-8
Thursday 14th January- 8-12, 12-3

From volunteers who have already taken part, there has been positive feedback from the clinicians and the patients alike who truly appreciate the help this is giving.

For those of you that are volunteering for the first time the location will be at Windsor Racecourse, Maidenhead road SL4 5EZ in the grand stand (from the entrance, follow the road all the way down). Car parking is provided as are refreshments.
